AP Computer Science in Salalah is almost entirely a self-study route — there is no large AP school in Dhofar. Most Salalah AP Computer Science candidates are Indian School Salalah or SIS students adding APs for US college applications, expat children of Salalah Port / Salalah Free Zone (DP World, petrochemical, methanol) engineers, or PDO School Salalah families on rotation. The College Board syllabus, FRQ style and May exam window all run on US calendars, not Oman ones — and Khareef season (Jun–Sep) sits right on top of AP score release and US application planning. Combined with the ~1,000km distance from Muscat's larger American-curriculum tutor pool, Salalah AP candidates need online specialists. Our AP Computer Science tutors are matched directly to the College Board CED, deliver authentic FRQ and MCQ drilling, and schedule in Oman time around Khareef Festival, Ramadan, Eid, Renaissance Day and 18 November National Day.
Tell us what your child needs and we'll match a UK-qualified Computer Science specialist in Salalah within 24 hours.

What we fix
How we fix it:Khareef Festival and the monsoon turn Salalah into a regional tourist hub and pull families away on travel. We front-load Computer Science content before Khareef and run lighter consolidation sessions during it, on Oman time.
How we fix it:Salalah International School and Salalah English Speaking School cluster mocks tightly in the spring. We run a 6–8 week mock-prep block on real past papers and examiner reports for Computer Science.
How we fix it:The in-person specialist pool for Computer Science in Dhofar is small. Online unlocks the same Muscat, UK and US examiner-grade tutors that Muscat and Dubai families use.
How we fix it:Driving or flying a Salalah student to a Muscat Computer Science specialist weekly is not realistic. Our online 1-to-1 model deletes the distance and locks in regular weekly contact.
How we fix it:Salalah students split across Sultan Qaboos University, Dhofar University and UK entry. We map Computer Science tutoring to the actual pathway — SQU/DU entrance prep or UCAS personal statement and admissions tests.
Why Combo Tutors
Salalah International School and Salalah English Speaking School both run Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level. Our Computer Science tutors deliver against the exact 0580 / 9709-style spec, school internal assessments and SIS / SESS mock weeks — not a generic syllabus.
Dhofar's in-person specialist pool is thin. Online 1-to-1 puts a Cambridge examiner or UK Russell Group Computer Science tutor on screen in Salalah — same standard as Muscat or Dubai families, with no 1,000km commute.
We schedule Computer Science sessions around Khareef season (Jun–Sep), Khareef Festival travel, Ramadan, Eid, Renaissance Day and 18 November National Day — and tailor prep toward Sultan Qaboos University, Dhofar University or UK Russell Group entry.
Mrs Hessa Al Mashani, parent
AP Computer Science · Salalah International School (SIS) · Dhofar
My son went from a C to an A* in Computer Science at Salalah International School. The Cambridge mark-scheme drilling and SIS mock-week prep made the difference — and lessons carried on through Khareef.
Mr Vinod Krishnan, Salalah Port engineer
AP Computer Science · Indian School Salalah · Dhofar
We needed a Computer Science tutor who understood both CBSE and Cambridge for our daughter at Indian School Salalah. Combo Tutors matched her to one tutor for both — and she got her offer.
Mrs Sarah Anderson, British expat at Salalah Port
AP Computer Science · Salalah English Speaking School (SESS) · Dhofar
Living in Salalah for the Port posting, we worried our daughter couldn't get UK-standard Computer Science tutoring. The online lessons through SESS mocks and Khareef season got her a place at Russell Group.
Ahmed A., SIS Year 13
AP Computer Science · Salalah International School → Sultan Qaboos University Medicine
I needed Computer Science prep targeted at Sultan Qaboos University Medicine, not generic A-Level. My tutor mapped every session to the SQU entry profile.
Sarah M.
Parent of IB Student · London
My daughter was struggling with IB Mathematics HL and had almost given up hope of getting a 7. After just two months of weekly sessions with her Combo Tutors tutor, her confidence soared and she went from a predicted 4 to a final grade of 6. The personalised approach made all the difference—her tutor identified exactly where the gaps were and worked through them systematically.
James P.
Parent of A-Level Student · Manchester
My son started tutoring for A-Level Physics about three months before his exams. His tutor was incredibly patient and broke down complex topics like electromagnetic induction into simple, intuitive steps. He ended up getting an A* which we genuinely didn't think was possible. I'd recommend Combo Tutors to any parent who wants a tutor that actually cares about your child's progress.
AP Computer Science in Salalah
SIS sits Cambridge for AP Computer Science — Cambridge IGCSE for the lower school and Cambridge International A-Level for sixth form. Our SIS-matched Computer Science tutors work directly to that Cambridge spec, the school's scheme of work and SIS internal mocks.
Yes. Indian School Salalah runs CBSE as the main pathway plus a Cambridge IGCSE stream for students targeting UK / international entry. We tutor both — AP Computer Science on Cambridge spec, and parallel CBSE support where families need it.
Khareef (Jun–Sep) brings monsoon, the Khareef Festival and heavy family travel through Salalah. We front-load Computer Science content before Khareef begins, then run lighter consolidation and past-paper review during it on Oman time, picking pace back up for the autumn term.
Yes. Many Salalah students target Dhofar University locally or Sultan Qaboos University in Muscat. We map AP Computer Science tutoring to those entry requirements alongside any UK / US plans — same tutor, joined-up plan.
All Combo Tutors lessons for Salalah families are online 1-to-1, on Oman time. With ~1,000km between Salalah and Muscat and a small in-person specialist pool in Dhofar, online is the only realistic way to reach examiner-grade Computer Science tutors.
