Tell us about your child and we'll match a specialist IGCSE Combined Science tutor within 24 hours.
Degree-level subject specialists, many PGCE-trained, who teach to the UK exam standard.
Tutors who know the mark schemes and coach the exact phrasing that earns every mark.
Every tutor is interviewed, reference-checked, and background-verified before their first lesson.
You are paired with a specialist in your exact board and tier — never a generalist.
Combined Science asks students to hold three disciplines at once. Our tutors build understanding across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics — ensuring students can move confidently between topics and answer both short-mark and extended questions.
Step 1
We start with recent marks, confidence blockers, and the exact exam board so sessions feel personal from lesson one.
Step 2
Tutors connect concepts to examiner language, worked examples, and the habits that turn knowledge into marks.
Step 3
Parents see what changed after each session: topics covered, next steps, and the grade trajectory we are building toward.
Characteristics of living things, cell structure, movement in and out of cells, enzymes, photosynthesis, and human nutrition — the biology foundations tested in every paper.
The circulatory system, transport in plants, aerobic and anaerobic respiration, gas exchange, and the nervous and hormonal control of the body.
Reproduction in plants and humans, variation and inheritance, monohybrid crosses, food chains and webs, and human impact on the environment.
Atoms, elements, compounds, electronic configuration, ions, and the trends of Group I, Group VII, and the transition metals within the periodic table.
Ionic, covalent, and metallic bonding, chemical formulae, balancing equations, moles, reacting masses, and calculations — a common source of lost marks.
Acids, bases, and salt preparation, the reactivity series, electrolysis, energetics, and the factors affecting the rate of a reaction with graph interpretation.
Motion and forces, work, energy and power, thermal physics, electric circuits, current, voltage, resistance, and the calculations that link them.
Properties of waves, light and sound, the electromagnetic spectrum, magnetism and electromagnetism, and atomic and nuclear physics including radioactive decay.

We help students build a clear mental map of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics so topics stop blurring together. Each session targets the discipline a student finds hardest while keeping the other two ticking over with regular retrieval practice.
Mole calculations, reacting masses, and equation balancing cost students the most marks. We break every calculation into a repeatable method and drill it with past-paper questions until the process becomes automatic.
Students often know the science but lose marks on rearranging equations and units. We teach a consistent formula-triangle and unit-checking routine so working is always shown clearly and full method marks are secured.

Cambridge IGCSE Combined Science (0653) is a Single Award leading to one grade, while Co-ordinated Sciences (0654) is a Double Award leading to two grades. Both cover Biology, Chemistry, and Physics; the Double Award goes into more depth. We tutor students on whichever their school has entered them for.
Core covers the foundation content and gives access to grades C–G (or 1–5). Extended covers the full syllabus and gives access to grades A*–G (or 1–9). We recommend Extended for students who may go on to A-Level or IB sciences, and we prepare students for the tier their school has chosen.
Yes. Our Combined Science tutors are science specialists trained to teach the full IGCSE course, and we match you with a tutor whose strengths suit your child's weakest discipline. For students needing deep support in a specific science, we can also arrange a second specialist tutor.
Yes. The Cambridge alternative-to-practical paper (Paper 6) tests experimental skills in a written format. We cover planning, recording results, drawing graphs, analysis, and evaluation using official past papers so students are confident with every practical-style question.
For students taking the Extended tier, Combined Science provides a solid foundation for A-Level. Those aiming for a science-heavy A-Level or IB HL sometimes prefer the separate sciences, but many students progress successfully from Combined Science — especially with strong grades and targeted bridging support, which we also provide.
Every exam board, every tier. No hidden fees and no long contracts — start with a free trial lesson.
