Cambridge IGCSE French (0520) uses four separate papers covering listening, reading, writing, and speaking. Edexcel International GCSE French (4FR1) has two written papers — Listening and Understanding, and Reading and Writing — with speaking assessed as an optional endorsement. We tutor both and tailor technique to whichever board your school follows.

For Cambridge 0520 the speaking test includes role-plays, a topic (photo card) discussion, and general conversation, marked for communication, pronunciation, and language range. We run regular mock orals with recorded feedback so students build fluency and confidence before the real assessment.

Yes. The grammar foundation, essay structure, and Francophone cultural awareness built at IGCSE map directly onto A-Level French. Students who reach Grade 7 or above are well prepared to progress to A-Level French or the IB Diploma language courses.
