AP Mathematics inside Education City is the natural route for Qatar Leadership Academy (QLA) students and for Qatar Foundation-affiliated families with children at Doha-wide American-curriculum schools who still want the Education City universities pipeline open. AP Mathematics scores are accepted directly by all six US branch campuses — Texas A&M Qatar (Engineering), Carnegie Mellon Qatar (Computer Science, Business), Georgetown Qatar (International Affairs), Northwestern Qatar (Communication, Journalism), Weill Cornell Medicine Qatar (pre-med), and Virginia Commonwealth Qatar (Arts and Design) — and frequently anchor Academic Bridge Program (ABP) progression decisions. Our Education City AP Mathematics tutors are College Board-trained specialists who drill the FRQ and MCQ split against the QF universities' December–January admissions window, the QAD Convocation calendar, and the May AP exam sitting in Qatar time (AST, GMT+3).
Tell us what your child needs and we'll match a UK-qualified Mathematics specialist in Education City within 24 hours.

What we fix
How we fix it:The Qatar Foundation branch campuses — Texas A&M Qatar, Carnegie Mellon Qatar, Weill Cornell Medicine Qatar, Georgetown Qatar, Northwestern Qatar, VCU Qatar — run a unified December–January admissions cycle separate from UCAS and US Common App. We compress predicted-grade Mathematics consolidation into October–November so applicants enter that window grade-secure.
How we fix it:Qatar Academy Doha sequences its IB DP Internal Assessment and Extended Essay deadlines to land before the QF universities portal opens. We map every Mathematics IA draft and EE milestone to that QAD calendar so the QF application is submitted on the back of finished, marked, examiner-style coursework — not a half-drafted IA.
How we fix it:ABP is the QF foundation year that converts strong-but-not-quite-direct-entry applicants into Texas A&M Qatar / CMU Qatar / VCU Qatar undergraduates. We prepare Mathematics candidates specifically for the ABP English-medium entry assessment and the bridging-year subject diagnostics, so a marginal IGCSE/IB profile becomes a confirmed branch-campus offer.
How we fix it:Weill Cornell Medicine Qatar is the most competitive QF route — a six-year pre-med + MD track demanding IB HL Biology + Chemistry (or AP equivalents) plus the MCAT-style entry assessment. Our Mathematics tutors specialise in HL Biology and HL Chemistry depth, with weekly past-paper drilling aligned to the WCMC-Q interview window.
How we fix it:CMU Qatar's Computer Science cohort is small and highly selective — IB HL Mathematics AA, strong CS or Physics, and competitive AP Calculus BC / AP Computer Science A profiles are the norm. We pair Mathematics students with tutors who know CMU's entry rubric and align lessons to the December QF deadline.
Why Combo Tutors
Our Education City Mathematics tutors are matched to the Qatar Academy Doha IB DP scheme of work — the spine of the entire QF feeder system. HL specialists drill IA structure, EE supervision drafts, and the May paper window with QAD's exact deadlines, so families never feel out of step with the school calendar.
We prepare Mathematics students specifically for the six Qatar Foundation branch campuses: Texas A&M Qatar Engineering, Georgetown Qatar International Affairs, Northwestern Qatar Communication, Carnegie Mellon Qatar CS, Weill Cornell Medicine Qatar pre-med, and VCU Qatar Arts — plus HEC Paris and HBKU postgraduate routes — with the December–January QF admissions window built into every plan.
Education City Mathematics HL students need examiner-level depth, not generic worksheets — and HBKU postgraduate qualifying programmes demand the same. Our tutor bench includes IB examiners and branch-campus-aware specialists, so every session is past-paper-led, mark-scheme-referenced, and pitched at the standard QF universities and HBKU actually assess.

IB DP Mathematics HL · Qatar Academy Doha → Carnegie Mellon Qatar (Computer Science) · Qatar Foundation parent
My daughter at Qatar Academy Doha needed HL Mathematics examiner-level depth before the QF universities portal opened. Combo Tutors aligned every IA draft to QAD's calendar and she walked into her Carnegie Mellon Qatar interview grade-secure.

AP Mathematics · Academic Bridge Program (ABP) → Texas A&M University at Qatar (Mechanical Engineering)
We came from Bahrain mid-cycle and needed AP Mathematics support that understood the Education City pipeline — not generic Gulf tutoring. The tutor knew the ABP entry assessment inside out and prepped my son straight into Texas A&M Qatar Engineering.

IB DP Mathematics HL · Qatar Academy Doha (QAD) Year 13 → Weill Cornell Medicine Qatar (pre-med)
HL Biology and HL Chemistry for Weill Cornell Medicine Qatar is brutal. Combo Tutors paired me with an IB examiner who drilled past papers weekly. Convocation at Education City this year — I'm in.

Parent of IB Student · London
My daughter was struggling with IB Mathematics HL and had almost given up hope of getting a 7. After just two months of weekly sessions with her Combo Tutors tutor, her confidence soared and she went from a predicted 4 to a final grade of 6. The personalised approach made all the difference—her tutor identified exactly where the gaps were and worked through them systematically.
James P.
Parent of A-Level Student · Manchester
My son started tutoring for A-Level Physics about three months before his exams. His tutor was incredibly patient and broke down complex topics like electromagnetic induction into simple, intuitive steps. He ended up getting an A* which we genuinely didn't think was possible. I'd recommend Combo Tutors to any parent who wants a tutor that actually cares about your child's progress.
Priya K.
Parent of GCSE Student · Birmingham
We needed help with GCSE Science for my son who found chemistry particularly challenging. His tutor made the sessions engaging and relatable—using real-world examples that finally made reactions and bonding click for him. He improved by two grades and, more importantly, actually enjoys science now.
AP Mathematics in Education City
Qatar Academy Doha (QAD) is an IB DP World School — Year 12–13 Mathematics runs on the IB Diploma at HL or SL. In Years 10–11 QAD uses Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics as the IB on-ramp. Awsaj Academy mirrors the IB MYP/DP route; Qatar Leadership Academy combines Cambridge AP or AP with Qatar MoE. We match your child's AP Mathematics tutor to the exact board their Education City school sits.
Yes. Our Education City AP Mathematics tutors are aligned to the six Qatar Foundation branch campuses: Texas A&M Qatar (Engineering), Georgetown Qatar (International Affairs), Northwestern Qatar (Communication/Journalism), Carnegie Mellon Qatar (CS/Business), Weill Cornell Medicine Qatar (pre-med), and Virginia Commonwealth Qatar (Arts). We plan Mathematics consolidation around the unified December–January QF admissions window so predicted grades are locked in before the portal opens.
We start from the Qatar Academy Doha scheme of work, then layer HL Mathematics past-paper drilling, IA scaffolding, and EE supervision drafts onto a schedule that lands finished coursework before the QF universities portal opens in December. For Weill Cornell Medicine Qatar applicants we add HL Biology + Chemistry depth; for Texas A&M Qatar and CMU Qatar we focus HL Maths AA + Physics / CS. Every lesson is examiner-style.
Yes. Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) is the QF postgraduate flagship and its qualifying programmes (pre-master's bridging, English-for-academic-purposes, subject diagnostics) require examiner-level Mathematics depth. Our tutor bench includes specialists who have prepared HBKU MSc and PhD applicants — particularly in quantitative subjects feeding HBKU's College of Science and Engineering and College of Health and Life Sciences.
ABP is QF's foundation year — the conversion route into Texas A&M Qatar, CMU Qatar and VCU Qatar for students whose IGCSE/IB profile is strong but not quite direct-entry. We prepare Mathematics candidates for the ABP English-medium entry assessment and the subject diagnostic, and we continue AP Mathematics support through the bridging year so the eventual branch-campus offer holds.
Yes. All Education City AP Mathematics tutoring is in Qatar time (AST, GMT+3). We shift to shortened sessions during Ramadan, pause across Eid Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha, and work around Qatar National Day (18 December) — which sits right inside the QF universities admissions window, so we plan for it explicitly.
