A-Level study in Hawally is concentrated at Kuwait National English School (KNES) and a small Cambridge cohort branching off the IGCSE Extended tier at American Creativity Academy (ACA). Hawally Governorate's heavy Arab-expat character — Egyptian, Lebanese, Palestinian and Kuwaiti families along Tunis Street and Damascus Street — means most A-Level Computer Science students are targeting UK Russell Group, AUB Lebanon, AUC Egypt or the Kuwait Private Universities Council institutions in parallel. The shared pain point is Paper 2 application questions and mark-scheme writing under the dense Hawally commute load. Our Hawally A-Level Computer Science tutors are examiners or top-university specialists matched by Cambridge (CIE) or Edexcel IAL code and target grade, with lessons in Kuwait time scheduled around Kuwait Ramadan ~3-hour timetable, Liberation Day on 26 February and KNES Hawally mock weeks.
Tell us what your child needs and we'll match a UK-qualified Computer Science specialist in Hawally within 24 hours.
Exam boards we cover
The dominant A-Level route at Kuwait National English School (KNES) Hawally branch and the Cambridge-track families progressing from ACA Hawally's Extended IGCSE tier. Linear AS + A2 structure with strong international university recognition.
Used by some Hawally British curriculum schools. Modular structure means students can resit individual units — useful for Hawally students balancing UCAS and US applications.
Smaller uptake, but offered by some schools serving Hawally families repatriating to the UK.

What we fix
How we fix it:American Creativity Academy (ACA) Hawally and American School of Kuwait (ASK) Hawally both sit the College Board AP exam window in early May, colliding with Kuwait Ramadan ~3-hour timetable. We back-plan a 10-week AP Computer Science prep block of timed FRQs, multiple-choice drills and rubric-line walkthroughs against the ACA and ASK pacing guides.
How we fix it:Al Bayan Bilingual School (BBS) Hawally runs the IB Diploma in a true Arabic-English bilingual model — Internal Assessments, Extended Essay supervision and the May exam window land on top of Arabic A or Arabic B requirements. We sequence Computer Science IA drafting and EE check-ins around BBS's Arabic exam calendar so neither track loses marks.
How we fix it:Hawally Governorate has the highest population density in Kuwait, and Tunis Street, Beirut Street and Ibn Khaldoun Street commute windows compress evening study time. All Computer Science sessions run online 1-to-1 in Kuwait time (AST, GMT+3), eliminating the Hawally school-run round-trip.
How we fix it:Hawally schools — ACA, ASK, BBS and KNES — shift to a shortened ~3-hour Ramadan timetable, then pause for Eid Al-Fitr, Eid Al-Adha, Kuwait National Day on 25 February and Liberation Day on 26 February. We rebuild the Computer Science schedule around each window so mocks and the May AP / IB sittings stay on track.
How we fix it:Many Hawally families target the Arab Open University (AOU) Kuwait branch in Hawally alongside AUB Lebanon or AUC Egypt admissions. We brief Computer Science tutors on the Kuwait Private Universities Council criteria and AOU prerequisite expectations so the tuition plan supports both the school exam and the admissions track.

A-Level Computer Science - American Creativity Academy (ACA) - Hawally
My son at American Creativity Academy on Tunis Street was hovering on a 3 in AP Computer Science. His Combo Tutors tutor rebuilt his FRQ technique around the ACA International Standard School rubric and he came out of May with a 5.

A-Level Computer Science - Al Bayan Bilingual School (BBS) - Hawally
I was the only Year 13 at BBS pushing for top-band Computer Science into AUB Lebanon. My Combo Tutors tutor walked the EE supervision and IA mark-scheme line-by-line in Kuwait time around Liberation Day.

My daughter was struggling with IB Mathematics HL and had almost given up hope of getting a 7. After just two months of weekly sessions with her Combo Tutors tutor, her confidence soared and she went from a predicted 4 to a final grade of 6. The personalised approach made all the difference—her tutor identified exactly where the gaps were and worked through them systematically.

My son started tutoring for A-Level Physics about three months before his exams. His tutor was incredibly patient and broke down complex topics like electromagnetic induction into simple, intuitive steps. He ended up getting an A* which we genuinely didn't think was possible. I'd recommend Combo Tutors to any parent who wants a tutor that actually cares about your child's progress.

We needed help with GCSE Science for my son who found chemistry particularly challenging. His tutor made the sessions engaging and relatable—using real-world examples that finally made reactions and bonding click for him. He improved by two grades and, more importantly, actually enjoys science now.
