Exam boards we cover
Cambridge 9702 or Edexcel IAL: How the Papers Differ
The board decides the papers, the practical assessment and the exam series.
Cambridge International AS & A Level Physics
9702Five papers, including a 2-hour hands-on practical (Paper 3) and a written planning, analysis and evaluation paper (Paper 5). Exams run in June and November; AS can be taken first and the A Level completed later.
Pearson Edexcel International A Level Physics
XPH11 / YPH11Six units with no lab exam: Units 3 and 6 test practical skills in writing. Units 1–3 make the International AS; all six make the full IAL. Every unit is offered in January, June and October.

What we fix
Where Sharjah A-Level Physics Students Lose Marks
Practical papers
9702 Paper 3 needs fast, accurate lab work; IAL Units 3 and 6 test the same skills on paper.
How tutoring helps:Practice matched to your board's practical format.
Uncertainties and graphs
Percentage uncertainty, error bars and log graphs cost marks across Papers 3 and 5 and Units 3 and 6.
How tutoring helps:A short routine for every data question.
A2 fields and the maths load
Gravitational, electric and magnetic fields, capacitance and exponential decay need confident algebra.
How tutoring helps:Targeted maths support, alongside our A-Level Maths tutors in Sharjah where needed.
Planning questions
9702 Paper 5 asks students to design an experiment in writing, which school labs rarely rehearse.
How tutoring helps:Past Paper 5 plans marked against the scheme.

A-Level Physics in Sharjah
Common Questions.
Both Cambridge and Edexcel are common. GEMS Wesgreen, for example, follows Cambridge for AS and A Level. Mock papers show the code: 9702 for Cambridge, or IAL unit papers for Edexcel. We match the tutor to that board.
On Cambridge 9702, yes: Paper 3 is a 2-hour hands-on practical, and Paper 5 is a written planning paper. Edexcel IAL Physics has no practical exam; Units 3 and 6 test practical skills in writing.
On Edexcel IAL, yes: every unit runs in January, June and October and can be resat. Cambridge 9702 runs in June and November, so a resit means the next series.
It depends on the school. Wesgreen runs Cambridge A Levels, while Victoria International School of Sharjah and Australian International School Sharjah run the IB Diploma. IB students can see our IB Physics tutors in Sharjah.
Most schools strongly recommend it, because fields, oscillations and decay use the same algebra and graph skills. A tutor can support the maths inside physics lessons.
No. Lessons are online and follow your child's board. See also our A-Level Physics tutors in Dubai.
Yes, on both boards. Cambridge allows Papers 1–3 in one series and Papers 4–5 later, and Edexcel lets students bank Units 1–3 before sitting Units 4–6.
Most students use one or two hours a week, rising before mocks and finals. The trial lesson ends with a recommendation.
