Hawally Governorate is home to Kuwait's flagship IB Diploma school — Al Bayan Bilingual School (BBS) — which delivers the IB DP in a true Arabic-English bilingual model with Arabic A and Arabic B alongside English A. BBS families in Hawally, alongside ACA's MYP-style middle years and IB-aware tracks at Bayan Educational Institute, place specific pressure on IB Computer Science — particularly HL — where IA structure, EE supervision and the May exam window collide with Ramadan and Liberation Day. The complaint Hawally parents raise is that IB Computer Science mark-scheme writing and TOK linkage are not drilled in class. Our Hawally IB DP Computer Science tutors are matched specifically to BBS's bilingual rhythm, HL or SL track, IA criteria and the May exam timeline, working in Kuwait time around Beirut Street commutes.
Exam boards we cover
HL Computer Science is the standard route for Al Bayan Bilingual School (BBS) Hawally — Kuwait's flagship Arabic-English bilingual IB World School students targeting top medicine, engineering or quantitative university courses. Heavier content and a more demanding internal assessment.
SL Computer Science suits Hawally Diploma students keeping a balanced six-subject load. Same internal assessment framework, lighter syllabus depth.
Syllabus coverage
Our IB Computer Science tutors cover the full specification with extra depth on the topics where Hawally students most consistently lose marks.
Planning, system design and human-computer interaction.
CPU, memory, binary, hex and logic gates.
Network types, protocols, OSI model and security.
Algorithms, abstraction and Java programming.

What we fix
How we fix it:American Creativity Academy (ACA) Hawally and American School of Kuwait (ASK) Hawally both sit the College Board AP exam window in early May, colliding with Kuwait Ramadan ~3-hour timetable. We back-plan a 10-week AP Computer Science prep block of timed FRQs, multiple-choice drills and rubric-line walkthroughs against the ACA and ASK pacing guides.
How we fix it:Al Bayan Bilingual School (BBS) Hawally runs the IB Diploma in a true Arabic-English bilingual model — Internal Assessments, Extended Essay supervision and the May exam window land on top of Arabic A or Arabic B requirements. We sequence Computer Science IA drafting and EE check-ins around BBS's Arabic exam calendar so neither track loses marks.
How we fix it:Hawally Governorate has the highest population density in Kuwait, and Tunis Street, Beirut Street and Ibn Khaldoun Street commute windows compress evening study time. All Computer Science sessions run online 1-to-1 in Kuwait time (AST, GMT+3), eliminating the Hawally school-run round-trip.
How we fix it:Hawally schools — ACA, ASK, BBS and KNES — shift to a shortened ~3-hour Ramadan timetable, then pause for Eid Al-Fitr, Eid Al-Adha, Kuwait National Day on 25 February and Liberation Day on 26 February. We rebuild the Computer Science schedule around each window so mocks and the May AP / IB sittings stay on track.
How we fix it:Many Hawally families target the Arab Open University (AOU) Kuwait branch in Hawally alongside AUB Lebanon or AUC Egypt admissions. We brief Computer Science tutors on the Kuwait Private Universities Council criteria and AOU prerequisite expectations so the tuition plan supports both the school exam and the admissions track.

IB Computer Science - American Creativity Academy (ACA) - Hawally
My son at American Creativity Academy on Tunis Street was hovering on a 3 in AP Computer Science. His Combo Tutors tutor rebuilt his FRQ technique around the ACA International Standard School rubric and he came out of May with a 5.

IB Computer Science - Al Bayan Bilingual School (BBS) - Hawally
I was the only Year 13 at BBS pushing for top-band Computer Science into AUB Lebanon. My Combo Tutors tutor walked the EE supervision and IA mark-scheme line-by-line in Kuwait time around Liberation Day.

My daughter was struggling with IB Mathematics HL and had almost given up hope of getting a 7. After just two months of weekly sessions with her Combo Tutors tutor, her confidence soared and she went from a predicted 4 to a final grade of 6. The personalised approach made all the difference—her tutor identified exactly where the gaps were and worked through them systematically.

My son started tutoring for A-Level Physics about three months before his exams. His tutor was incredibly patient and broke down complex topics like electromagnetic induction into simple, intuitive steps. He ended up getting an A* which we genuinely didn't think was possible. I'd recommend Combo Tutors to any parent who wants a tutor that actually cares about your child's progress.

We needed help with GCSE Science for my son who found chemistry particularly challenging. His tutor made the sessions engaging and relatable—using real-world examples that finally made reactions and bonding click for him. He improved by two grades and, more importantly, actually enjoys science now.
