"AP Computer Science" is two courses. AP CSA teaches Java, and now has four units and a fully digital exam. AP CSP lets students use any language, adds a Create performance task and tests the five Big Ideas. Prep books from before 2025 cover an outdated CSA, so we work from the current course descriptions.

AP Computer Science A
CSAJava. From 2025-26: four units (Using Objects and Methods, Selection and Iteration, Class Creation, Data Collections), with no standalone inheritance unit. The 3-hour exam is fully digital in Bluebook: 42 multiple-choice questions (55%) and 4 free-response questions (45%). The 2027 exam is on Wednesday 12 May.
AP Computer Science Principles
CSPA digital end-of-course exam with 70 multiple-choice questions in 120 minutes (70% of the score), on Friday 14 May 2027. The Create performance task (30%) is a program, video and Personalized Project Reference built in 9 hours of class time and submitted by Friday 30 April 2027. On exam day students answer two written-response questions about their own project.

NewThe course now has four units, with no standalone inheritance unit, and the exam is fully digital in Bluebook. Prep books from before 2025 follow a different structure, so we work from the current course description.
AP Computer Science Tutoring for Dubai Students
AP CSA is on Wednesday 12 May 2027, AP CSP on Friday 14 May, and the CSP Create task is due by Friday 30 April. Lessons are live and one-to-one on UAE time, around the Friday half-day and Ramadan timetables. Students whose school does not offer the course can also prepare as private candidates, registering through an authorised AP test centre.
